Tuning algae for biofuel profitably

BioExtractions (Wales) Ltd received an ABSIG SPARK Plus award to work with the University of Greenwich on a "Tuning algae for biofuel profitably" project.

The project has successfully investigated the potential for profitable production of the biofuel glycerol and other higher value metabolites from microalgae, through manipulation of the biosynthetic pathway by external controls.
