August 2014 Newsletter

Dear Member

Welcome to the latest ABSIG newsletter. We have lots of news to tell you this month including the announcement of the winners of this year’s ABSIG SPARK Awards, plus you can read the summaries from the 2013 winning projects.

There are plenty of funding schemes currently available to enable industry-led R&D and we encourage any early-stage SME to apply for an IBLF Award: it is really easy to apply, just get your mobile phone or iPad out and take a two minute video detailing your company, its business model and why you want a £10k voucher. The deadline is the 28th November and if you mention how your business considers ecosystem services - that will enhance your chances of winning further.

Please contact us if you have an event you would like us to promote for you. We would love to hear from the community to hear about any news you have and we can put it on our website and in the newsletter. We look forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards

The Algal Bioenergy SIG Team
