IBioIC to officially open Flexible Downstream Bioprocessing Centre

The Industrial Biotechnology Innovation Centre (IBioIC) will officially open its Flexible Downstream Bioprocessing Centre (FlexBio), located at Heriot Watt University, on Wednesday 25 May 2016.

"This new Centre will link to the Rapid Bioprocess Prototyping Centre housed at the University of Strathclyde, by taking the most promising bio-processes and proving they work at a scale that allows the move to commercialisation. Filling the current UK-wide gap in the provision of scale-up facilities at this semi-tech scale, these facilities will create a highly flexible, integrated approach to total process development on a single site."
