Natural Product Biotechnology 2014, 18-20 November, Inverness

Natural Product Biotechnology is a significant new conference for people with interests in high value natural products, their application in drug discovery, foods and nutraceuticals, personal care products and cosmeceuticals, and other biotech applications.

This is a the conference for people interested in the Natural Product supply chain - and the place of natural products in food and health, personal care products, drug discovery, and other biotech industries.

The conference will feature presentations from national and global leaders and opinion formers, sessions covering the latest research output — and central to the whole event, interactive workshops giving delegates the chance to learn about opportunities for their own businesses and research.

With increasing global interest in the value of biologically active natural compounds in the development of therapeutic agents, and the use of renewable raw materials in innovative approaches to lowering greenhouse gas emissions, Scotland, along with many other countries, has ambitious targets to increase the impact of this sector on sustainable economic development.

The conference will be opened by Fergus Ewing MSP – Minister for Energy, Enterprise & Tourism, The Scottish Government. The main themes of the 3-day conference are:
