Congratulations to the successful applicants for the Microalgae Mission to the US

Congratulations to the 10 successful applicants to Microalgae Mission to the USA, which will take place on 8-13 March 2015. We received 27 applications in total, demonstrating strong interest within the UK algal community in developing synergies and collaborations, finding new customers, and seeking opportunities for knowledge exchange with the US.

The ten sucessful UK participants were selected to  provide a good mix of companies and academics, with differing areas of expertise, and are:

  • Steve Skill (Swansea University)
  • Carole Llewellyn (Swansea University)
  • Brenda Parker (University College London)
  • Olga Sayanova (Rothamsted Research)
  • Daniel Murray (Industrial Phycology)
  • Joe McDonald (Varicon Aqua Solutions Ltd)
  • Michael Yates (Algenuity Ltd)
  • Naz Bashir (Algaecytes Ltd)
  • Clare Eno (Vitaplankton limited)

They will be accompanied by Saul Purton (University College London), Michele Stanley (SAMS) and Michelle Carter (KTN Ltd & ABSIG).
