Apply for up to £20k from the RSC Emerging Technologies Competition

The Emerging Technologies Competition is the Royal Society of Chemistry’s annual innovation initiative, turning promising ideas into commercial reality.

The competition is currently open and applications can be made through RSC’s online application system. The deadline for applications is 14 March 2016.

RSC’s Emerging Technologies Competition aims to accelerate the commercialisation of innovative technologies in the following areas:
  • Health & wellbeing
  • Energy & environment
  • Food & water
  • Materials

The competition is free to enter and open to small companies, universities, and research institutions, who can apply using their online application form. They welcome ideas, at any stage of development, from across the UK and Europe.

Winners will receive up to £20,000, multiple PR opportunities, and tailored support from the competition’s partner companies: AkzoNobel, Aramco, AstraZeneca, Croda, GE Healthcare, GlaxoSmithKline, Johnson Matthey, Pfizer, Procter & Gamble, Schlumberger and Unilever.
