UK Government publishes Building a high value bioeconomy report

Following the March 2014 House of Lords Science and Technology Committee report, 'Waste or resource? Stimulating a bioeconomy' the government agreed tht there is an enormous opportunity for growing the bioeconomy using a range of feedstcoks - including waste. This report sets out what the UK needs to do to maximise opportunities for adding value to waste based on capabilites and feedstock availability.

By 2030, the vison is to see the bioeconomy sector in the UK continuing to grow with the development of commercial scale plants to process waste streams operating across the UK. Other facets include how the UK will position itself as a global leader in delivering a bioeconomy as well as the location for green investment.
