Reminder: Don't miss this opportunity to have your algae capabilities displayed graphically on the Algal Bioenergy website

We are developing a new map of algae-related businesses and universities in order to show the UK’s expertise in all aspects of algae research and exploitation.

We are inviting all members of the Algal Bioenergy Special Interest Group on  _Connect to register with the initiative for free to help us to achieve as comprehensive a map as possible.

If you would like to feature on the map, please send information to with:

  • Your name
  • For academics please give your university and department
  • For businesses, please give the name of your business
  • Postcode, and other address details
  •  Website url link. For universities, this may be the university’s home page or you may prefer a more algae-specific weblink

We propose that a GIS map can foster two-way interaction between academics and businesses. In particular it will give businesses access to key academic research organisations in the UK, as well as offering scientists an opportunity to raise their profile to the wider algae community.

I may already have contacted some of you to invite you to feature on this new map, but we are now extending the invitation widely to achieve as comprehensive mapping as possible.

If you have any queries about this new map please contact Lis Broome
