The Adaptive Optics sub-group is an informal group uniting representatives of industry and academia with common interests in Adaptive Optics. It has been established to increase the inter-group communication and define future plans of actions for community members. The sub-group helps industry apply AO research and technology to match current and future market needs in all relevant fields of application.

These needs, lead by the community itself, are used to focus activity and to help stimulate innovation in the industrial and academic sectors. The AO sub-group will facilitate collaborative partnerships to transfer knowledge and technologies between the industrial sector and academia.

The AO sub-group is open to specialists, developers of AO technologies, end-users and to anyone with interest in the AO technology. Members from both academia and industry are welcome.
